Life is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re going to get.

So this is a pretty random post, but I’ve been on this kick lately about “feel good” stuff – ya know, the things that get you up when everything else is bringing you down… bubble baths, your favorite song coming on in the car, CHOCOLATE! I mean the list goes on and on, but it is just amazing to me how no matter most circumstances, there is always that one thing that will brighten your day no matter what, so rather than get frustrated and declare yourself having a bad day, find your happy place, and forget about the rest! Besides, there’s no sense in sweating the small stuff.

**Check out the “quote of the day” below!

β€œThere’s enough for everyone. If you believe it, if you can see it, if you act from it, it will show up for you. That’s the truth.” – Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith

How bad do YOU want it???

180px-uncle_sam_pointing_finger.jpg

I’ve been in a bit of a motivational-rut this past year. School (of course) gets harder and harder by the day. And I know, I know – “one day it will ALL pay off” – sometimes it just seems as though that particular “one day” is a million bagillion years from now! I have been in this “funk” of thinking that Pharmacy School is too out-of-league for me. That is, until my mom reassured me that I really, believe it or not, CAN do this! It’s all in how you think about it – if this was an easy career path to take, everyone would do so. Only the brave step up to the plate. So these last couple days, only one question has been keeping me going with my head high – “How bad do you want it?

I had a dream…

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” – Martin Luther King, Jr., 1963

Something to remember; Better yet, such a man to remember!! And so here’s my little tribute to one of the greatest and most influential men in our nation’s history – Happy MLK Day! πŸ™‚

Calculus Shmalculus

It’s only the second week in school, and I already feel like I’m in a foreign language class – not Calculus! It’s well beyond the point of “understanding” anything; now it’s just getting through this semester with a good grade πŸ™‚
